Migrate Emails from Gmail to Yahoo Mail Account

Follow the below steps to export your mailbox data from a webmail account to another webmail account

Step-1: Visit the official website of DRS Softech and download the DRS Email Migration Software. Then, install the application and run it as administrator.

Step-2: After launching the application, expand the list of input options available in the software. Choose Gmail from the list.

Step-3: Enter your Gmail Username and Third-party app password in the respective fields. Click on the Sign-in button.

Note: If you do not know how to generate an app password for Gmail, click on the related link in the application.

Step-4: Wait a while as the tool is accessing your Gmail mailbox items.

Step-5: After that, you will see a preview of all mailbox folders available in your email account.

Step-6: Tick all the desired mailbox folders you want to backup and click on the Next button.

Step-7: Now, Click on the Save/Backup/Migrate As field to expand the list of resultant file formats and webmail accounts.

Step-8: Choose Yahoo Mail from the available options

Step-9: After that, enter your Yahoo username and third-party app password in the respective fields. Click on the Sign-in button.

Note: You can also learn to generate an app password for Yahoo Mail by pressing the link related to it.

Step-10: Tick the Remove Duplicate Mail on basis of To, From, Subject, Bcc, Body option. It will leave all the duplicate mailbox items of your Gmail account from migrating into the resultant Yahoo account.

Step-11: The Maintain Folder Hierarchy feature will keep your mailbox emails in the correct order. This option is enabled by default.

Step-12: To clear up your mailbox server space after creating the backup, opt for the Free up Server Space option.

Step-13: Tick the Skip Previously Migrated Items if you do not want to include the Gmail items you exported earlier using DRS Email Migration Tool.

Step-14: When you want to exclude the attachment files and export emails only, you should select the Migrate of Backup Emails without the Attachment files option.

Step-15: For backing up on a particular date and time or on at a regular frequency, check the Set Backup Schedule option. Then, assign the desired date, time, and frequency of migration.

Step-16: The Mail filter option enables a date range filter to the migration. Tick the option and select the Start Date and End Date to specify the date range.

Step-17: After that, assign any desired name to the folder containing migrated mailbox data, opt for the Custom Folder Name option.

Step-18: At last, click on the Convert button to start the migration of your Gmail emails to the Yahoo mailbox.

Step-19: As you click on the Convert button, the application starts the migration as per the defined features. The time taken will depend upon the size of the mailbox.

Step-20: After completing the migration, you will see the report of the process. Click on the Download Report button to download the report in CSV file format.

Step-21: If you want to migrate your Gmail emails to another webmail account, click on the Convert Again button.

Convert MBOX File to PST File format

Follow the below instructions to convert your MBOX backup files to PST file type

Step-1: Download and install the DRS Email Migration Software from DRS Softech’s official website. Run the application as administrator.

Step-2: Now, the input file format in the migration application is set to MBOX by default. However, if not so, expand the list and choose the MBOX file type.

Step-3: Click on the Browse button to add the desired MBOX file that you want to convert.

Step-4: Locate the file from the file explorer. Select it, and press the Open button to add the file to the list.

Step-5: The software will read the file and display a preview of the complete mailbox data available in it.

Step-6: After that, select the desired mailbox items and click on the Next button.

Step-7: By default, the PST option is selected in the Save/Backup/Migrate As field. But if not, expand the list and choose PST file format.

Step-8: Next, tick the Save in Same Folder option to save the resultant file in the folder of the selected MBOX file.

Step-9: The Remove Duplicate Mail On basis of To, From, Subject, Bcc, Body feature allows you to convert MBOX file to PST file format without including duplicate emails.

Step-10: The Migrate or Backup Emails Without Attachment files option will export emails of selected mailboxes and leave attachment files.

Step-11: After that, if you want to break the output PST file into multiple smaller files, tick the Split Resultant PST option and select the size limit.

Step-12: Tick the Mail Filter option and define the date range by entering the Start Date and End Date.

Step-13: Give a custom name to the folder of the resultant PST file by selecting the Custom Folder Name option.

Step-14: If you want to save the output file at a particular location, click on the Path to Save button and define the Destination Path. Disable the Save in Same Folder option to use this feature.

Step-15: At last, click on the Convert button to start the MBOX to PST Conversion.

Step-16: Now, the tool performs the conversion as per your selected options. The time taken for the conversion depends upon the file size.

Step-17: After finishing the conversion, click on the Download Report button to download a CSV file of the conversion report.

Step-18: Click on the Convert Again button to repeat the process for some other file format.

DRS Email Migration Software is available in two editions i.e free version and paid version. Users can download the free version to evaluate the software to understand it completely and to test the basic features of the utility. To get the paid version of the tool user needs an activation key to activate the software without any hassle.

The activation key will be delivered to the registered user email id by the DRS team at the time of purchase. After receiving the key follow the below-mentioned steps to activate the software.

Step 1: Launch DRS Email Migration Software Wizard on your windows machine. A pop-up for entering the activation key will be displayed. If the user already has the activation key then he/she can enter the key in the given space else continue to the underneath mentioned process to get the activation key.

Step 2: Here click on “I don’t have authentication code” and enter the following details.

Email Address: Here, you require to enter your email address, which you have used to register the Software.

Order Number: Insert your order ID number that you received at the time of purchase.

File Path: Select the desired path to save the .info file.

Now click the “Get authentication code” tab.

A new .info file will be saved in the user described location.

Step 3: Send the .info file produced by the software at sales@data-recovery-solutions.com.

Step 4: Within some time user will get the authentication key in his/her Mailbox.

Step 5: Now open the DRS software again and enter the received activation key to activate the software.

Installation guide for DRS Email Migration Software

Download the DRS software for Windows from DRS’s official website.
Now Install the software on your computer by making a double click on the .exe file.
After that follow the steps on the setup wizard to install the application on your computer.
After the finish of the setup wizard, a dialog box will arrive with a message of completion of the setup.
Here click Finish to launch the software on your Windows machine or Computer/Laptop.

1. Uninstall from Control Panel.
