Step-1
Download the DRS Thunderbird Mail Backup Tool. Install and run the tool as administrator.
Note: Before performing the below steps, Mozilla Thunderbird must be installed in your system.
Step-2
Select the profile from the drop-down that you wish to backup and click on Next.

Select the mailbox folders from the tree structure and click on the Next button to proceed further.
Step-4
Now, click on the expand button of the Save/Backup/Migrate As field. You will see the complete list of file formats and email clients. Choose PDF from the list.

The tool provides you with the Remove Duplicate Mail on the basis of To, From, Subject, Bcc, Body option. It allows you to create a backup of Thunderbird mailboxes without including duplicate emails.

Enable the Save attachments separately option to save the email attachments that are in PDF format to a separate folder.
Step-7
Check the Convert attachments to PDF format option to convert and save the attachments in PDF format.
Step-8
Tick the Migrate or Backup Emails Without Attachment files feature to leave all the email attachments from migration. Using this option, you can create a compact and accurate backup.

The advanced Mail Filter option enables a date range filter for Thunderbird mailbox emails. Tick this feature and set the Start Date and End Date to specify the date range.

Opt for the Custom Folder Name option and assign a custom name to the resultant file.

After assigning the custom folder name, choose a particular naming convention for the resultant PDF file. There are several naming conventions available based on subject and date.

After that, click on the Path to Save button to choose the destination path for the resultant backup file. Assigning a custom saving location will help you avoid difficulty while searching the backup file.

At last, click on the Convert button to initialize the migration of Thunderbird mailboxes as PDF files.

Now, wait for the scanning process until it gets done.
Step-15
Once, the process gets completed, you will get a process has completed pop up message.

Finally, to download the report, click on the Download Report option or to backup more, click on Convert Again button.
Note: To export your Thunderbird profile to your Gmail account, follow step 1 to step 3 mentioned in the adjoining tab. After that, perform the following procedure.

Click on the expand button of the Save/Backup/Migrate As field. You will see a list of file formats and email clients. Choose Gmail from the list.
After that, enter your Gmail username and app password in their respective fields. Click on the Sign-in button.
Note: To migrate your Thunderbird mailboxes to your Gmail account, you need to generate the third-party app password and enable IMAP in your Gmail account.
Step-6
After adding a Gmail email account in the DRS Thunderbird Backup Tool, tick the Remove duplicate mail on the basis of to, from, subject, bcc, body option. It will eliminate duplicate mailbox items while migrating your data.
Step-7
The Migrate or Backup Email Without Attachment File option facilitates you to create the mailbox backup without email attachments.
Step-8
Choose the Mail Filter option and assign a specific Start Date and End Date. It will enable the date range filter on complete Thunderbird mailbox data. So, mailbox items lying between the specified date range will get migrated.
Step-9
Provide a specific name to the folder to save the converted data here in the Custom Folder name option.
Step-10
Click on the Convert button to begin the backup process.
Step-11
As you press Convert, the tool will process your request and export all the selected profiles to your Gmail mailbox.
Step-12
After finishing the process, you can click on the Download Report button to download a CSV file of the conversion process. Also, you can press the Convert Again button to repeat the process.
