Gmail API Disclosure

DRS Gmail Backup Tool fetches information from a Google account without disrupting the guidelines mentioned in Google API Services User Data Policy. Also, the tool considers the limited use requirement in the guideline.

Gmail users using the DRS Gmail Backup Tool need to allow the following permissions to the application.

1. Gmail Compose permissions
   Some features in the Gmail backup tool require the Gmail Compose permission to read, backup, and delete your Gmail emails (if necessary).
2. Drive Edit permissions
   The Drive permission allows the DRS Gmail Backup Tool to read, backup, and delete the Drive files of your Gmail account.
3. Contacts Access permissions
   By giving the Contact access permission, you allow our tool to access, save, and delete your contacts in the Google account.
4. Drive Spreadsheets permissions
   The software requires the Drive spreadsheet permission to read, store, delete your spreadsheet file content to create a backup of your Gmail account.
5. Calendar Edit permissions
   Calendar edit permission is essential to access the Google calendar of your account. After enabling this permission, the tool can read, backup, and delete your Calendar details permanently.
