How To Establish Connection with MySQL Server through ODBC Connector?

Sometimes, you are unable to establish a connection to the MySQL Server. It is most probably because an appropriate ODBC Connector is not configured in your system. If this is the case, no need to worry. We are going to describe a few easy steps to set up ODBC Driver Manager in your system. So that, you can save your data to the database.
Below are the steps to set ODBC Driver manager and establish a successful connection with MySQL Server.
Choose the below details in their respective fields and click on the Download button in front of Windows (x86, 64-bit), MSI Installer
- Product Version - 5.1.0
- Operating System - Microsoft Windows
Now, install and launch the application as administrator.
In the ODBC Data Source Administrator wizard, select the User DSN. Click on the Add button.
After that, you have to select the driver for which you want to set the data source. Choose MySQL ODBC 5.1 Driver and press the Finish button.
Now, fill in the required MySQL login Credentials and then click on the Test button.
After establishing the connection, you see a pop-up message stating: Success, Connection was made! Click OK to close it.
Open the DRS MySQL Database Recovery Tool, enter the required MySQL database details and press the Test Connection button.
This time, you will see the ‘Connection is successful’ message.
